"The only reason why I didn’t give them 5 stars was that the window was broken and didn’t close. We didn’t notice that until we were trying to sleep and heard all the noise sirens and traffic. Room 201. I informed the front desk of this when we were checking out "
"I booked this place for my wife and daughter who was in town for a soccer tournament. I was unable to join them, but my wife said it was "scary" when she checked in that night, but saw thought the place was fine in the light of day. She tends to spook easy, so I'm not sure what to make of it."
"Breakfast was great and staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel, however, was under construction which wasn’t known until arrival. The blankets had hair on them (assuming from the dryer) and the hotel overall felt dirty. I’m sure it will be nice after the remodel. "
"I was very pleased with my stay overall. The facility was clean, the room was comfortable, and the staff was consistently hospitable, pleasant, and quick to assist. The bathroom was tidy and well‑stocked with amenities.
The one issue that stood out was the very low water pressure in the shower. It was the only drawback in an otherwise positive stay. That said, the water pressure in the shower was a noticeable and persistent drawback. It stood out as the only real flaw in an otherwise excellent experience. Given how important a good shower is to most travelers, I hope the owners take this feedback seriously. I’m confident other guests have mentioned the same concern and addressing it would significantly elevate the quality of the stay.
Even with this issue, I continue to rate My Place highly and would gladly return—especially if the water‑pressure problem is resolved."
Candlewood Suites : Overland Park - W 135th St by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"Stay away!! First they don’t tell us the elevator was out of order until we checked in and paid. Then they don’t have a first floor room so we got stuck on the third floor. The room was dirty, the tables and desk had some leftover something from the last guest. The sink had fruit flies and the bathroom sink had snot it.
We had to ask for spare towels the next morning and were told to find the maid cart and ask them.
Asked for an update on the elevator repair and the front desk lady was very rude and condescending.
I’d give zero stars if I could, this stay was so frustrating I will never stay in a Candlewood Suites anywhere ever again."
