This review serves as a reminder to myself to never book a room through Summit again. First of all, I booked through Expedia and indicated that I had 4 adults and 2 kids. Nowhere in the reservation does it say only 5 people allowed per unit. Unit has a king size bed, bunk beds and a full pullout couch. Upon arrival, I was informed that only 5 wristbands are allowed per unit and to pay $100 extra for a wristband. I tried to argue but they would not budge. So beware if you have more than 5 people you will pay $100 per each extra wristband. Also, parking is $27 per vehicle per stay. This was mentioned in the original booking so I was ok with that. Beach was beautiful of course and was the main character of this trip. Our unit was outdated and had all kinds of water damage. The bathroom smelled of old urine. There is construction Nextdoor and they start bright and early at 7am. This was not our first stay at Summit but is our last. There are plenty other condos in much better conditions on the coast for about the same price. I’m disappointed in the lack of service on summit and Expedia part. They would not refund me $100 despite not mentioning it in the booking. Book at your own risk.

We had a wonderful stay at the Summit. This is the second time we have stayed here. This time we stayed in 822 and it was great. The décor was perfect and included updated amenities. My family felt like we were at home and to me you could tell the owners really take care of their condo. As a matter of fact whenever we spoke we would say "when we get back to the house" instead of "the condo". There is a small restaurant on sight "Bikini Bobs" which has wonderful food and the prices are very reasonable. The hot tubs are great too. The only hiccup was that we arrived after hours and were told incorrectly by the gate security guard to go to the Majestic to check in. I found out that the condos are managed by several different management companies. I called Amber from the panhandlegetaways and she was wonderful and had us taken care of immediately. We will definitely be back again in late summer expecting another great time!

Oceanfront room with view of ocean. Room was tastefully decorated and every possible need in the kitchen was provided. Lots of towels as Well as a washing machine and dryer were provided in our room. Only two operating elevators in middle at the time with two on ends which were not available due to maintenance. But being located on fourth floor made it easy to quickly take the stairs. Great property and I would recommend to anyone!!

I didn't get the condo I had booked and was switched to another resort on the complete other end of the city. Right next to all this new construction so the sounds of hammers and what not all day was as relaxing as a room full of screeching babies. I could go on trust me cause it only got worse. I was so amazingly miserable I left a day early! NEVER AGAIN!

Our room was nice and I enjoyed our view. What I didn't like was the elevators were constantly broke down or would get stuck on a floor and not move, so I would have to walk 7 flights of stairs to our condo.

We liked that our condo was on the beach. We liked the set up on the condo. The beaches and the pools were amazing. However- the condo was full of sand when we arrived, the back door wouldn’t lock. 3 lights didn’t work. The dishes were filthy so we had to wash everything first before we used it. The mirror in the kitchen was cracked and taped. The tv was scratched on the right side. The ice maker was broken. We paid a lot of money for our stay and the accommodations were not up to par. I called to tell them once we got there and told them. They said they could come and fix it- however we declined bc we had our valuables and didnt want strangers walking around and didn’t want to be disturbed by strangers in our condo on our vacation. It never should of been this way in the first place. When I tried to talk to them about it before we checked out again. They were rude and basically told me- too bad. You declined us to fix it when you were staying there. Very unacceptable. I tried to get some of my money back but they declined and didn’t care. If Expedia can help with getting some of money back - that would be great!

We really enjoyed our stay the bathroom in the swimming area by the pool was really dirty though and alot of people dont know how to pick up thier trash off the beach ... our garbage disposal in our room wasnt working so the sink got stopped up and we had to plunge it because maintenance never responded to my email and the shower curtain in the bathroom had mold on it but other then that it qas very relaxing and what staff there was was very nice

This condo was seriously neglected. When we complained to panhandle getaway supervisor( Jasmine Knighten)she told us that we didn't know what we were taking about. We were standing there looking at it. We walked in the stench of mold was very strong. The ceiling was covered with it and so was the pull out couch. The dining table had some kind of green fungus growing on its even though the lady said that she personally disinfected the room herself. We never received the extra pillows for the pull-out sofa, we had to request bedding for it because there wasn't any. There wasn't a hairdryer. There wasn't dish soap. The bedding in the bedroom had something on it and didn't seem to be clean. We had to take the stairs from the 12th floor multiple times due to only one of the four elevators was working. Overall I don't believe that panhandle cared if we were comfortable or not. It was obvious that they didn't care to maintain their rooms or the property. It was not worth the amount of money spent. Our trip was to visit grandkids and have them spend time with us at the beach and pool. I will be careful not to book with panhandle getaways in the future.

We stayed in condo 1032 for 3 nights and all I can say is that our stay was amazing. The room was nice and clean with an excellent view to the beach.

worst experience ever wasted my time & money!!!

I certainly will never book through Panhandle Getaways ever again. When we arrived at the summit, we were rather rudely Greeted by Security who couldn’t even be bothered to check our reservation because P.G. Had neglected to provide us with the room code or leave our parking passes with the summit. When I asked where I needed to go to get this code i was told to look it up. After a call to PG I was given the code and assured someone would come to the hotel and bring us passes right away. Not wanting to miss them, i wasted precious hours waiting in the hotel room, but no one ever showed. I spent the time cleaning the room which had obviously not been cleaned as every surface was covered in a layer of sand and dead bugs. The next morning I called inquiring about the passes again and was told I’d have to come to the office to pick them up, but when I get there I was told that “mrs Nina” at security at the summit had my passes. I drive back to the summit Where I am again greeted very rudely by Miss Nina who tells me she has no idea why they would say that as that is completely against their policy. So more time was wasted. I call PG again and left a message but no one ever returned my phone call. That night our car was ticketed with a note threatening to be towed since we did not have the parking pass. Every time we left the hotel we were harassed upon reentry as well as every time we tried to come back from the beach since we had no wristbands. We never received any of this.
