I chose this property as I wanted to be close to Miraflores Locks. I was not disappointed with my decision with the selection of the hotel. The property itself was very impressive, clean and well maintained. The hotel room as well as the Lobby area was very pleasing. Most importantly the staff - Fransisco, Bianca made me feel welcome and well attended to . Will surely stay here during my next visit

Very friendly staff and views of Panama Canal from rooms. Unfortunately, rooms do not have balconies and windows don’t open so the experience of viewing ships in the Canal is diminished. Restaurant options limited to the on site cafe and a Spanish restaurant next door.

I liked that they had a bar and to go food options were really good but check in took a very long time. We booked through expedia and had to email the front desk a screenshot of our reservation, strange process and we didnt love that the pool was only open til 7pm. Very nice staff but property was a bit dated.

The staff at the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful. From front desk, dining and housekeeping. Very professional. The rooms are in excellent condition. The hotel is near 5-6 restaurants and cafes. The shopping mall 10 minutes away and the Panama Canal 5 minutes. The view from the room looks out over the Canal, as ships pass through. Bueno.

Panal Canal Hotel

This hotel is really dated and old feeling. They need to update their room furniture (many scuffed, ripped, well used!). Beds were comfortable. The fan in the bathroom made unnecesary noises when being used. Water pressure in shower not great. They could also put some pictures or something on the walls for update. Room was not cosy feeling by any means!!

Musty smell

The staff is extremely friendly and supportive. The only, but serious criticism, is the humidity in the rooms. Not only does it smell awful, but all your belongings never get dry and get this musty smell as well, wirh the risk of mould if you stay for too long. This is a serious issue that the hotel needs to adress !!! Other hotels, even ones in remoter areas and of so-called lower standard, do not have that odour...
