    This is a good stop-off point especially for travellers arriving at Santander on the ferry, which now docks at 6pm. It takes about 2 to 2 1/2 hours drive from Santander, virtually all on the A67 motorway, so it is a good place to break the journey to Portugal or south-western Spain. We found the hotel very good value, clean & comfortable, friendly reception staff( & English speaking), & decent good-value food. It's not the easiest place to find, but is right next to a petrol station & roundabout on the outskirts of Venta de Banos.…

    We were very happy with our 4 day stay at this hotel. It was within walking distance of parks, restaurants, and the city center. The receptionist was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. She made a special effort to find us biking parking in a garage near by. She also was happy to move us to a different room when we complained about the street noise our first night. We also appreciated the cafe off the lobby where we could get breakfast easily. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Palencia. It is great value for the price.…
