"The photos versus reality is a quite big difference shock. This is pure cheapest hostel type place remade for b&b 'look'. Doors like from prison, stabbed with a knife or sth, completely not even fit, light was shooting from all sides from the corridor and you could hear even whispering. Bathroom dirty and rusty. Window covered with sticker and without light it was midnight all day in the room. We gave up after first night and moved to another place. Bed was so tragic, i can feel my back till...
"One of the most elegant and beautiful properties in whole Sicily, and not just Catania; this is a rare jewel from comfort, design, location, exclusivity, and service.

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The room was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped with plenty of wardrobe space. I especially appreciated the small kitchen area — perfect if you want to cook your own meals. The hotel is also located in a quiet area, ideal for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!"
"The rooms are modern and very clean and comfortable. As a solo female traveler I also felt very safe here and could walk around to the market, bakery and restaurants easily. I really enjoyed my stay and it was nice to have a shared kitchen where I could store food in a fridge and make coffee each morning. The staff is very friendly a responsive and helpful. They even gave me a ride to the train station when I left Catania. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to my friends and family."
"Nice large apartment. No explanation of how things worked , even where to put the trash or use the automated shutters. Right on Via Etna, so very good location. Would stay at again."
"Manuela is really accommodating, available, and quick to respond to requests. The location is perfect; almost everything is within walking distance. We recommend the place😃"
"The room was nice and spacious, and the hotel is located less than a 10 minute walk from Piazza Stesicoro, which is very convenient. The owner Francesco was very friendly and helpful, and was more than happy to provide recommendations for things to see and do during my stay in Catania. Overall I was very satisfied and would happily stay here again."
"We enjoyed a very comfortable stay here. Antonio helpfully arranged transport from the airport. Via Caronda was rather shabby but we never felt unsafe in the area - Via Etnea was just around the corner with buses to the city centre and a useful 24 hour coffee kiosk/bar on the corner of the square.
Our room was clean and comfortable with good air-conditioning and a small fridge. The garden was lovely to sit and unwind before heading out to one of the nearby restaurants and to enjoy breakfast....

Romano House
10/10 Excellent
"Our experience could not have been better. We are three American Senior women and the hotel went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. All the staff was excellent, especially Giacomo at the front counter who gave us explicit instructions and directions and also Antonio the bar manager who went out of his way to make our experience extra special, even telling us about the special Prosecco."
"Very friendly staff, breakfast was the best, gave us a Togo box for breakfast, central location, room and hotel was super clean. It was money well spent and made difference for our stay in Catania. "
"A beautiful hotel with the true feel of Italy! Staff was very responsive and accommodating to our early morning departure. I wish I was there for more then one night."
"I asked the front desk to store our luggage while we explored the city and they were happy to help. Friendly and helpful service at check-in. The location is right next to a beautiful and large park in central Catania and we felt safe coming & going. We stayed one night on our way back to the airport and it was easy to get pickup and drop off. "
"Very conveniently located. Having dinner at the hotel is not worth the money. Unfortunately we made that mistake the first night. Excellent restaurants less than five minutes walking from the hotel."
"Wasn’t really sure what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable and the common area was very cozy, featuring all the amenities you might need as a home away from home. With great location and budget friendly price, would highly recommend to any solo travellers such as myself"
