"It started out confusing- check in was at the other e of the street @ a restaurant.. it meant backtracking with a bag. I got my key and headed back to the hotel. The place is charming- an older wooden structure . I felt like I was in an Ibsen play! The room was nice- mini apartment with a kitchenette. The breakfast was very good. The location was convenient to the center and to the castle
The price was quite high for this somewhat rustic venue with no elevator. The high caprice was due to the opera festival, but still tooooooi high! Perhaps a Scandic or Sokos would have been more reasonable"
"Little and old hotelresidens, but everything was clean and staff was very helpful.
Kitchen was open so late that its possible to eat some salads after opera.
We take also next year this hotel."
"A countryside inn well managed by its owners who are communicating very well in English and who helped with all our plans. They prepared a very good dinner but it’s not available quite every day."
"Staff upgraded our room to a great view of the lake for the sane price. The hotel is sithin walking distance of the boat rrides, fortress and restaurants. There is a forested island with trails adjacent to the hotel. We didnt make sure of the pool or spa but they looked wonderful"
"I loved staying here. The staff was really helpful, the room was clean and bright with the a view of the lake. I even saw the northern lights from my balcony! The sauna and pool were very nice and clean. I loved the bright windows for the pool. I had breakfast and supper and both were delicious. A good breakfast spread and the supper menu and service was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel."
"Wonderful camping. Camping itself is quite big. You can choose to live in apartment, villa, small og big cabin, tent or park a camper. Shared kitchen and wc/douche are clean and big enough. Camping offers free sauna every morning which we enjoued much. You cal also find a private beach and orhet places where you can swim in the lake. Mojority of cabins have a lave wiev. You cal also find a good restorant in campings area and mini waterpark which is popular among kids. Lady in reception is very polite and explains everything we were intrested in."
