It was an ok stay. At first I did not like my room very much But we later looked at many other Hotels in Padang and Amaris was actually the best ! PADANG HOTELS are not that nice and not good value like in some parts of Indonesia ! Breakfast was good and staff was good.

Good well-managed hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Everything you need for a business trip or short stay to get to know the central part of Padang. Enjoyable 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and the passar raya. 10mins to the coastal strip. No pool or gym and the king-size bed was a bit big for the room. But there was a high standard of repair and cleanliness. Nice views from the higher floors too! Breakfast was really good with western and local tastes well catered for. There's a mini-mart right next door for any basics you might need. I'd recommend Amaris as a friendly place to stay and very good value.
