"Fantastic locatio, walkable to downtown Kona shops and restaurants. Great view and restaurant. Nice warm pool. Grounds and hallways, etc, were immaculate. Parking was across the street. Everyone was very pleasant. Rooms were large.
The only reason why I didn't give a 5-star review is because our room smelled of mold. As a mold sensitive person, this was too much exposure for me over our 2 nights--likely due to carpeting and the humidity."
"We were disappointed in our room - the ocean view was only if you were on the balcony, otherwise it was a city view. The room itself had seen better days. We were in the alohilani tower - tried to go to the pool on 5 but access was closed and we were directed to the swell tower for access. Too much trouble for us. There was no lobby bar - maybe because Morimoto was closed for repairs, and the Momosan restaurant was outside. The drive up appeal was lovely. The pool was busy - the music was pumping. Not our jam but seemed popular. We did enjoy the complimentary beach gear provided by Beach Candy a couple blocks away and the beach itself was good. I guess $500 a night doesn’t buy what we were expecting. Kudos to the young employee who encountered us getting off the elevator and showed us our room and explained the amenities - he was the best part of our stay!"
"Rainbow room in the diamond head facing top floors… it truly can’t get better than this view. Staff is super helpful and resort is all open and welcoming."
"Great location near Waikiki Beach, food and shopping. Great staff. Great breakfast. Comfortable room. Only negative was overburdened elevators causing long wait times."
