"Hotel Macchi is beautifully situated in Chatel with rooms facing the mountains and slopes. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We were given recommendations on sites to see and visits to do in the area. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the food is our of this world. I highly recommend staying here! We hope to be back soon"

"We had a fantastic stay for our family ski holiday. We've stayed in other places in Avoriaz in the past and the location of L'Amara is just spot on for children. Our appointment was directly above the ski locker which was straight out onto the run. We used the pool area a couple of times and although it was quite busy, it never felt crowded. The parking was convenient and easy to access the appartment from it. The appartment itself was actually surprisingly roomy for an avoriaz appartment. We had a 2 bed one and it was plenty big enough for a family of 6, including 2 under 5's. The kitchen was well equipped. Overall, we would stay again if we returned to Avoriaz again. "

"Very chill and cozy hotel. Staff are very sweet and helpful, but also not overly bearing. They stay in the background as much as possible. Not overly formal as you get in many hotels. Spa is very good, with good jacuzzi, nice little pool and good sauna and Hamman. Breakfast was also good, a mixture of everything; bacon and eggs, hard boiled if you want. Plenty of cereal, yoghurts, fruit, cold cuts and cheese, and plenty of pastries and different types of bread. The rooms were cozy, with nice balconies and beautiful views. The one criticism would be the designs of the rooms. With ours the front door and the bathroom door easily collided, and my partner accidentally trapped her fingers in between them which really hurt. The pillows were also not good; there was a large tempur type one, so very hard, or a little pillow which had almost no structure at all, so something in between would have been better, but the mattress was very comfy. My mother had a separate room, which was a different layout, and was actually better than our layout, same issue with the pillows though. In short, I would definitely stay here again, I just might bring my own pillow next time! Location wise it is very close to Grand Montets lift. Argentine is a 10 minute walk away. A car is recommended, but then it is generally recommended for chamonix as it makes getting around, particularly in the evenings much easier. There is no restaurant onsite, so you will need to eat out, but they have snacks at the bar."

"L'hôtel est très bien situé, à 5 minutes à pied des télécabines et du village. La chambre était spacieuse et avec beaucoup de rangement. Accueil de qualité et personnel aux petits soins. Piscine, sauna et salle de sport irréprochables. Petit-déjeuner varié et délicieux. Le seul bémol est que l'hôtel dispose d'une grande salle de jeux pour les enfants mais celle-ci n'a pas été nettoyé durant notre séjour de 4 jours. Nous avons découvert un magnifique hôtel et nous avons hâte d'y revenir."

"Facility was great. On site restaurant salad was very bad. Only head lettuce, almost all white, no flavor while expensive. Location was not the best. Walkable to downtown but a little far if weather was not good."
