Excellent location with good views of the harbour and lighthouse. Frequent courtesy ferry to and from the the town side of the harbour.
The pool by the bar was lively. A quieter "adult" pool 100m away was pleasant for a refreshing dip and relaxation although this pool needed some maintenance as there were several loose paving slabs around the edge of the pool.
There gardens had a tropical feel about them and were very well maintained. The lighthouse was a short 10 minute walk away.

We wanted a quiet hotel on New Providence Island, away from the madness of Nassau and Paradise Island, and The Island House was perfect. Situated near the Old Fort Bay it is about a 30 minute drive from downtown.

Oh my goodness if I could give this hotel a 100 starts I would do! It is simply perfect. Our room was large spacious and with a fabulously comfortable bed we overlooked the ocean.
