Excellent location with good views of the harbour and lighthouse. Frequent courtesy ferry to and from the the town side of the harbour. The pool by the bar was lively. A quieter "adult" pool 100m away was pleasant for a refreshing dip and relaxation although this pool needed some maintenance as there were several loose paving slabs around the edge of the pool. We wanted a quiet hotel on New Providence Island, away from the madness of Nassau and Paradise Island, and The Island House was perfect. Situated near the Old Fort Bay it is about a 30 minute drive from downtown. The hotel itself is quite new so everything was clean and tidy. With only 30 rooms it was never busy, the gym was very well equipped (they even have two squash courts!) and the pool never full. The room was very well equipped. Great apartaments, VERY clean, fully equipped including coffe starter set, very nice and comfortable bed. Sophe and her husvabd are amazing people, they welcome us so warmly Sophie showed us all necesarry places, answered all questions, great contact before and during stay.

Oh my goodness if I could give this hotel a 100 starts I would do! It is simply perfect. Our room was large spacious and with a fabulously comfortable bed we overlooked the ocean. Every detail was taken care of and as the staff said to us they wanted us to feel at home and we did. Lovely outdoor space to sit and relax tables and chair as well as a large day bed. Great villas as all new buildings and great furnishings. Lovely little private beach and ocean reef. We were looked after attentively.

The property is on one of the nicest beaches anywhere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The cottages are right on the beach. The cottages are well thought out for a family of 4 with 2 double beds and 2 singles.

Attractive property in a convenient location. Beautiful beach only a few minutes away and only a short drive to local town. Comfortable accommodation. Friendly helpful owner. Would stay again if visiting the island.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ocean West, it is absolutely STUNNING. The hotel staff were extremely attentive and we were made to feel right at home from our arrival to the end of our stay. I particularly liked the taxi service that dropped and picked you up from your destination and at a cheaper rate than the local taxi service. Breakfast, though not always prompt, was worth the wait! I would suggest that the only small downside was that the location was not in the heart of everything, but...
