"The location, staff and service were great and the new family in charge are wonderful people. We would recommend this stop on the Petit Train du Nord for any cyclists like ourselves. Or if you are here for a ski or hike activity. The only advice would be a more robust breakfast offering fruit or toast in addition to the choice of the yoghurt or breakfast sandwich option. "We enjoyed our stay here. We knew when booking that this was a reasonably priced roadside motel and this review is written as such. It seems to be a family run business, and every one seemed polite and helpful. The (Queen with jet tub) room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. We didn't use the pool since it rained all weekend, but nice to have the option. The hotel was conveniently located. Although next to a busy road, Tim Hortons is very close. The town of Val David is a short drive away (we walked into town but there is a stretch where it is necessary to walk on the road shoulder). The main drawback that we found was that sound really travelled indoors. You could clearly hear footsteps from upstairs. (Normally not a problem, but during our stay it sounded like there was a herd at children that were running around for hours at a time). All in all, a good stay. We would return if the price remains reasonable."
