"We booked this hotel months in advance and specifically reserved a handicap-accessible room because my sister uses a wheelchair.
When we arrived, we were told there were no handicap rooms available and were placed in a standard room for the night. This made it extremely difficult for my sister, including not having a safe or accessible way to shower.
What was most frustrating is that we were repeatedly told no accessible rooms were available the next day either—until I stated we would need to be moved to another property. Suddenly, a handicap room became available and we were moved. That inconsistency was very concerning and honestly felt disingenuous.
While I appreciate that they eventually accommodated us, it should never have required pushing back after booking months in advance. Guests who require accessible rooms should be able to rely on those reservations being honored upon arrival—not treated as optional.
Overall, this was a very inconvenient and disappointing experience, and I would strongly caution others needing handicap accommodations to confirm in advance and be prepared to advocate for themselves."
