I am a picky person but Helgelson is one of our favorites in Orofino. The beds are so comfortable. The pillows are nice. It’s an old building. It has a small old school elevator. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is not bad. The staff was very helpful. We stay there every year.

Most of the rooms are like little apartments. Very comfortable. This is an old building that has been updated. They have done a nice job of it. Stayed here 25 years ago and it's still a good place to stay and a good value!

This is an older hotel in downtown Orofino. The rooms are adequate. The beds are comfortable and the sheets are nice. It is clean, but the most outstanding part is the attitude and the tentativeness of all the staff that I interacted with while staying there. They are kind polite, and happy to be there which is an unusual trait to find in today’s service industry. Whoever setting the tone at the Hegelson Place hotel is doing it right congratulations.

The bed was super comfy and the room was great overall! Very clean and spacious. The only complaint is that the radiators click constantly but I was able to mostly drown the noise out with a sound machine (as well as most of the traffic from the busy road). I enjoyed my stay overall.

Very noisy heater—comes on every few minutes for about 30 seconds. Parking limited and signage is lacking.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do apologize for any issues you had with your heater; with the cooler weather they do work a bit harder to keep you comfortable. But we will for sure send our maintenance team up to check on it ASAP! Also know that yes, parking can be limited with our downtown location; but we do have a dedicated parking lot right behind our building and on street parking when available... We also hope Orofino makes up for the extra steps with its charm and our hotel being steps away from shopping and dining! Please know that we staff our phone 24/7 and would be happy to help you should you need directions the next time you stay with us!Again, we appreciate the business and hope to have you return and stay with us again so we can get another chance to earn those extra stars!

Great place to stay.
While this hotel is older, and has amazing charm, it has had some upgrades, it is very clean and comfortable. The kitchenette is a great addition to the room we were in. The staff is friendly and helpful, even offering suggestions on places to eat and things to do.

Excellent place to stay!
Lots of space in the room. The beds are super comfortable. Used oven for supper and ate their hot breakfast in the morning. I'll definitely come back again

Great stay!
This is our 4th time staying at Helgesen's, we love it's location in downtown Orofino. The rooms are always clean, kitchens are stocked well but could use paper towels and wine glasses. Staff have been very nice and helpful each one of our stays!!

We loved this property. Suite with small kitchen and 2 separate sleeping areas. We had queen bed in living area and 1queen bed in separate bedroom. Beds were very comfortable and property very clean. We caught fish and grilled them on gas grill on shaded deck area. Staff was super nice and helpful. Rate was very reasonable. The only drawback was 1 small elevator but I will say we had no problems with wait time to use it. Most quests used the stairs.
