"I did not stay at Sonesta ES in Lafayette because all rooms were occupied upon arrival despite the fact that I had prepaid for my stay on Expedia well in advance. The clerk was nice however she had a stack of papers one with my name on it and a sticky note saying to send me to another property (same owner.) These properties are located in areas that can best be described as “sketchy.”The 2nd hotel reeked of pesticide. I received a refund. Many properties in the area were sold out. I found the last room at another hotel on my own. My lesson learned is this: I will no longer book reservations through Expedia and I will not stay at Sonesta ES properties. Beware of the old bait and switch even if paid in advance!"

"Everything met our expectations. I did let the front desk know as we were leaving that our room door slammed extremely fast, hard and loudly. It wasn’t a problem for us but I’m sure it disturbed other guests. If small children were there they could easily get their hands, feet, etc. hurt severely or even broken!
