Ik kwam heel laat aan, de eigenaar was erg vriendelijk en gaf me gelijk de sleutels van de kamer zodat ik meteen mijn rust kon pakken, zonder het vermoeiende poespas

Aardig hotel aan de rand van Ootmarsum. Jammer dat het tweepersoonsbed ook echt als losse matrassen waren opgemaakt. Het ontbijt was goed maar erg eenvoudig en niet zoveel keuze.

A very good hotel in a lovely town.

Hotel de Rozenstruik is a rather smart hotel situated in a quiet residential street just a few minutes walk from the delightful centre of Ootmarsum. There is off road parking for about 12 cars, so I guess it depends on how busy it is if you are lucky enough to get a space. Check in was quick and friendly. Our room (no 15) was on the top floor, which is reached via two rather steep flights of stairs, and I was glad that we had decided to decant enough clothes etc from our large suitcase into a couple of holdalls, as I wouldn’t have fancied lugging a heavy suitcase. On the plus side, our room was spacious and had a table and chairs as well as a couple of easy chairs in addition to the double bed. There was also a large television and a most useful fridge. The ensuite shower room was also nice. WiFi in the room was fine for basic stuff like mail etc; and written posts on Facebook and the like, but not fast enough for video content. We didn’t eat in the restaurant, preferring to explore the town, so cannot comment on the food, other than breakfast which was the usual selection of fruits, cold meats and cheeses, hard boiled eggs etc and some cake and gingerbread. It was plentiful and good. Ootmarsum is a beautiful little town and this hotel makes an ideal base for visiting it. We would certainly use it again.

een goed hotel

zeer vriendelijk, een ontgoocheling over het gebeuren van carnaval bij aankomst, veel lawaai en luide muziek (wij zijn onze stad ontvlucht voor carnaval). Verder een goede kamer met het nodige comfort. Ontbijt was goed en avondmaal ook goed en personeel zeer vriendelijk.
