We almost always stay at the same hotel in the Omaha area, but we thought we would try a different hotel this month. I am very picky, so please excuse this "Karen" review.
Check in was ok. I don't like having to it down a $100 deposit, but at 10pm, it isn't like I want to find a different hotel. The employee was nice, but her voice was too low and had deep accent, so my S/O had to doost of the check in part.
She gave us the room key, and we went on our way. The lobby was fine. Elevator to the second floor seemed older, had an unpleasant odor, and seemed small.
The hallway on the second floor looked older and needed a cleaning - or a good cleaning.
Arrive at our room and the key didn't work. Sent my partner down to deal with it. About 10 minutes later he shows up with a staff member. She tries both keys and then asked if we wanted to change rooms. We declined and asked if she could just open the door. She used a physical key and let us in...Again with the odor? Once we got in and turned the lights on, I told my partner that this hotel might have been remodeled 10 years ago, but it was definitely needing another face lift. Room door was all marked up. The room was basic and just the wasn't cleaned properly. I didn't feel like I could walk around without shoes on. The couch just wasn't going to be used. It def needed to be replaced. Over all, maybe 6/10.
