The worst thing was the location, prostitutes working the block outside and smashed windows on cars parked in the parking lot and around the street, and loud music until 3am, made us feel uncomfortable!! But the service was excellent, property felt secure, and it was a nice room for the money with a decent location.

This was a very clean and comfortable place to stay in an area of Oakland that may not be the most savory. The staff was very nice and we felt safe in the room. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was immaculate.

This was a nice, short stay. They have all the basics and staff was friendly and helpful. There is also a Ban Mi place right next door! Otherwise the surrounding area is ok.

Very nice motel but a sketchy area. We were told to take everything out of our car to avoid possible breakin. Saw 13 hookers in a 3 block area.

Good for short stays.

I stay here often. It’s a little Roudy on the weekends. Noise from the street. But most of the time it’s quite and no issues. Room are clean and bed is comfortable. Ac have a fan only mode, drowns out the outside noise at night.

Excellent for price

Overall great stay. It’s slightly outside of Chinatown. And about 15 minutes from UCB. The rooms were surprisingly updated. It was clean and had lots of outlets and good lighting and AC. Wifi was strong. The only downside is parking is slightly tight, but there were always enough spaces for everyone. We usually stay here when visiting our relative at Berkeley.

The receptionist is kind and helpful. The room is super clean with renovated bathroom and sink. The bathroom is the cleanest I have ever seen. But neighborhoods is not safe I can tell. People on the street screaming and very loud

I really enjoyed having the ice machine and also there was a vending machine that I used. I was visiting a family member at the hospital all day and this hotel is right down the street from that hospital. I came a long way to see my family member and I do not own a car. All I had to do is jump on one bus and I was there after a very long day at the hospital all I wanted to do was rest.

unsafe neighborhood

I booked this for an employee who were servicing this area and it was close to the job site. I am not familiar with Oakland so I booked based on reviews. O.M.G. I was embarrassed as well as worried for my employees. They sent pictures of night women, a lot of homelessness and overall sketchy neighborhood. I was worried about the safety of my employees as well as potential break in on the company vehicle. I will never book here again!
