This place has had a recent refurbished, our room was clean, nice amenities, nice, common breakfast area, and overall I would write this very well! Staff at the check-in was very good! Check out, however, was the only place I would give us a one star. Richard was at the front desk and checked us out. He asked me if I would like a receipt, I said, yes. When he proceeded to print it, he said that he could not give me a receipt as I had not paid the hotel. He had noted that it was paid through a third-party, Expedia. His face expression and tone of his voice was very not approving. It was as though I short changed the hotel when I went to use Expedia. I commented that he didn’t sound very pleasant and wasn’t happy. No answer. Richard needs to realize that upper management has decided Expedia is a good resource to book more rooms in their facility And he needs to take a better look at his attitude. They came across like he wasn’t happy with his job, nor was he happy with me as a customer. What a shame that I could have a nice experience altar end when I’m checking out with a irritable person. there are a lot of other nice places to stay in Oak Ridge, you might want to consider another option.
