O Grove is an idyllic town located at the mouth of the Arosa estuary, in south-west Galicia. One of its most representative attractions is Fortaleza da Lanzada, a fortress built in 960. After several attacks and reconstructions throughout its history, it still conserves one of the towers and the hermitage, which was the church of the castle. If you continue walking northward, you’ll end up coming to La Lonja de O Grove, the marketplace in the town’s port. This is a large building where fishermen sell the catch of the day. Another ideal plan is to climb Mount Siradella, the highest point in the area. After a pleasant hike, you’ll arrive at the A Siradella viewpoint, with spectacular views of the estuaries of Pontevedra and Arosa, as well as A Lanzada beach.
