"This stay is very close walk to/from the train station with plenty of food options. This was a perfect place to have a quick stay before heading in to Yala. This family business is very charming and extremely friendly! They were very accommodating during our stay and even packed us breakfast when we had a quick morning check out! "

"The hotel is basic and that's what we pay for. The town was unexpectedly quiet and shops/restaurants closed rather early. Should have picked Polonnaruwa over Anurahadpura."

"Beautiful castle like hotel with excellent staff . Excellent scenery and excellent food. The only thing bad is the journey to the hotel is horrifying especially in the evening. It is not easy to find the place."

"The biggest problem with this hotell was to find it. Our taxidriver asked tuc-tuc-drivers and lokal people, and no one knew the location of the hotel. They had'nt even heard of it. We drow around for half an hour. No signs along the road, not even when we were near by. When we walked back after dinner in the town, there where no lightening near by so that we could be sure to walk the right way. The room was clean, but we missed a small table beside the bed. "I normally don’t write a reviews but this was the worst accommodation so I decided to write. I’m traveling all around Asia and this was the most stressful experience I’ve ever had in my life. First of all, room is not clean at all, towels smells awful ( it’s like someone’s already use it before), many ants climbing up on bed, and the worst thing is so many species of insects. We couldn’t sleep because of the many insects and mosquitoes. You can find much more better accommodation with this...

"The room was huge and the facility was very basic. The guy at the reception was very kind to show me the short cut to the town. Wi-Fi worked well. Warm water was available but I had to bath from tap as water pressure from showerhead was too weak. It is because I stayed during the rainy days, I felt the room damp and bed little smelly...Considering the price and location, I could not ask for more."

"Its a property about 7 km away from town. Its a beautifully built property . As i understand it has 6 rooms, and a pool table in the loft. Great staff. There is no lift but its not an issue. There are small things they need to see to. Like salt and pepper shakers ( rather than sticking your fingers into the salt/pepper jar. ) there are no tissues in the room/bathroom. No hand washers - but lovely towels. The scenery from the small restaurant is amazing. This is place i may stay at again"

"A charming boutique hotel in Nuwara Eliya! My family and I had a great stay here, the hospitality was second to none. From the welcome cup of tea to the morning breakfasts and games for the children, the colonial style was fantastic and made for a very welcome stay. The beds were conformable, the deluxe room had a lot of space and all the amenities you needed were provided. Highly recommended."
