This is a great option with a small, private kitchen (two burner stove) if you don't want to eat out all the time. Grocery stores are nearby within easy walking distance. There is also a small fridge in the room, and pots and pans, plates, etc. Very tidy hotel even if the rooms are compact. Staff is excellent and very helpful! Location is great, right in the centre within easy walking everywhere.

Great!

Was a really good base of operations for activities in the area. Everything is easily walkable around the town and the airport transfer was really helpful (and included in the price - and the driver is fantastic, really great to chat to!) Communication with the team there was top notch and the stay I had was exactly what I wanted.

Friendly hotel

Nice and helpful staff. I don’t need the bed made and new towels everyday but when we hung the sign on the door we came back to a cleaned room and new towels. Perfect!! The breakfast was simple but very nice. If I ever com back to Ilulissat I would definitely stay here again.

We picked Hotel Nuka based on its location and its amenity, and we are very happy with our choice. The hotel is located in the center of the town. We were able to walk to the trialheads in about 15 min, and to the supermarkets under 5 min. Around the hotel, there are many good dining options. The kitchen in the room has all the pots and plates for us to cook a couple of simple meals. The only unpleasant incident happened during the airport drop-off. The day before our check-out, we told the front desk that we would like to leave at 9:30AM. The morning of the check-out, we confirmed again that we would be leaving at 9:30AM. Both times, we were not told that the time might not work. When we showed up at 9:30AM, front desk asked a driver to drive us to the airport. Out of everyone’s expectation, the driver started yelling at the front desk “you guys should be more systematic” “you can’t have me drive back and forth”. Everyone in the lobby just froze because no one expected to see this, especially considering that it’s an employee causing a scene. The front desk directed us to wait at another exit. A couple of minutes later, the driver stormed out and slammed the door in front of our face. We had no choice but followed him cluelessly to his car. Thank god another nice female employee came to rescue us! She told the driver to go inside and she drove us to the airport in her own car. I feel the management team needs to look into this for guests’ safety.

The toilet is behind the shower curtain, and you have very little room to stand in the shower. No hotel staff on property after 6 PM (they go home) so if your flight to Ilulissat has any chance of being late, call them ahead of time!

Great hotel in the center of ilulissat. Friendly personel, but go with the flow, the staff can help you with everything - but might not be in the offdice all the time, so have a little patience.. 😀 has a small kitcenette whoch is great as many restaurants close relatively earlier and tours tend to be long..

The flight got in around 10 am, and there was nowhere secure to store our bags. This seems like an easy thing to fix, but we were told to take anything valuable with us and had to risk leaving our luggage which was upsetting. It seems like an easy thing g to do to let people store their bags securely until check in. We had a 7 hour hike that day and had to carry a lot more weight due to this hotels lack of luggage room. Crazy!
