"I would first of all like to say that this hotel receives five stars because of the staff. I have never met a more knowledgeable and passionate hotelier than LEO. He knew every detail about the hotel and Bahia. He was able to give us the history down to the numbers. He was so informative and knowledgeable that it blew my mind. The hotel was nice. It’s an amazing property in not the best area. I would only recommend this hotel for someone who is not looking to have an authentic Bahia experience. This hotel is great if you would like to stay in absolute luxury in a rural neighborhood. It’s a very safe and secure hotel. But the staff made our stay the most memorable. I would like to give a huge thank you to Leo, Georgique, Francisco, Lisanna, Josie and the rooftop staff. I would like each of you to know how important you made our stay in Bahia. I can’t wait to return and see you all again."

"Casa do Amarelindo is a charming boutique hotel right in the city center. The location is walkable to many restaurants, attractions, shops and public transportation if needed. There was a view of All Saints Bay from our room, pool deck, and rooftop. The room was comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is spacious with a large walk in shower. The king size bed is huge (honestly could fit four people). My husband and I were able to really stretch out and get a good night’s sleep. The owner as well as all the staff are very attentive and helpful. A special shout out to Rodrigo for his wealth of knowledge and for arranging a wonderful beach excursion to Ilha dos Frades. Our stay was short but we managed to see and do a lot. We would love to return for a longer stay. "

"Perfect location. Wayyyyy overpriced for Carnivale, but it is, what it is. The sheets were clean, and the pool area has a good vibe. "I am giving 1 star because the employees of the hotel are kind. As soon as we entered the room there was a dead cockroach on top of the sink. The television did not work at all in the first room and the smell in the hall if you have any type of allergy, do not go. On the second day I went to complain and on our way down the elevator stopped. We talked to the receptionist and she moved us to a different room. The tv in the new room worked, but there was a cockroach running around the room (also caught on video!) and when my daughter took a shower the entire bathroom flooded. We had to ask someone to fix it. It was the first shower in the "new"bathroom. The next day they closed the swimming pool with no previous notice. I am not even going to talk about the food. Very bad food. Not even the French fries. You can see the oil is old. One of the highlights of hotels in Brazil are the breakfast, not in this hotel. No fresh fruits, very low variety of options. I am very glad that we left when we did. A horrible, horrible, experience."
