"We booked the room plenty ahead of time and gave our credit card information to hold the reservation. We get there and are told that they overbooked and we could not stay there. The front desk did not even look at the system, they turned us away as soon as we walked in. No apology, no conversation, no explanation. We received no call or warning from the hotel. We drove two hours, out of our way, just to stay in Amarillo. We called other hotels and they said that if the Fifth Season is full, there's not anywhere else to stay in Amarillo. Which came as no surprise, as we were scared to leave the car unsupervised just to check in. We had to drive over an hour to the nearest small town that had availability in the middle of the night."
