We stayed at Cradle in September for one night when the weather was very overcast and raining. It was great to come back to the warmth of the log burner. The cottages are rolled away in the forest and you get a real feeling of being on your own part from a few furry visitors in the twilight. Great place to take your own food ( no reall opportunity to get provisions at the cradle mountain) The area itself is must to visit

Superb large open plan apartment with stunning views. Very well equipped and comfortable even when wet and windy outside. Good breakfast provisions. 20 minute walk to Stanley.

We stayed for one night, as a stopover. The design and style was a pleasant surprise, unique and a great use of disused shipping containers. The pod is also very spacious and thoughtfully laid out, maximising both space and light. The views and setting are very relaxing, on the river. The town of Wynyard itself has little of interest; there are a few good cafes (much better than the breakfast on offer at the adjacent motel), but not much else.

It’s hard to imagine a better run B&B than The Grand on MacFie. The building is full of character and has been lovingly renovated complete with a variety of period furniture and fittings. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the two hosts whether it’s carrying a heavy suitcase upstairs, providing local knowledge on places to visit or eat our, proper HP sauce at breakfast from the ‘family heirloom’ bottle! We had the pleasure of being the first guests here and it was honestly amazing. The peaceful area, the lodge, the domes. The lodge is majestic with the fairy lights in the evening! The domes are kitted out so you have all the pleasures of a hotel room, it was faultless. The view from the domes are stunning. Our host was extremely friendly and even gave us a bottle of wine on the house! The communication was perfect and they really cater to all of your needs. I'm already planning my next stay!

Spacious, modern and well-equipped. Quiet location and fabulous bed. Perfect for exploring Devonport.

Clean and spacious room. Had an amazing view overlooking the town and river. Check in was very quick and informative. Lovely location for the North west of Tasmania.

Located in the forest, so remember to buy your food in the nearest town before you head to the hotel. You will find everything you need in the room. The jetted bathtub was awesome. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Cosy cabin with everything we needed. Bathroom was a good size and the shower was hot. We had an amazing view of hills and mountains in the distance from our kitchen window and veranda. Ate at the nearby Mole Creek Hotel, great food! Visited Trusnna sanctuary next door to us, would highly recommend this. Great location for walks in the area.

The room was lovely and spacious and beds were comfortable. The view from the balcony was beautiful. The breakfast was also lovely.

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Great view and modern bathroom. The restaurant on the same site was excellent. We're both vegan and found the option provided was really well cooked. We also found a few vegan wines. Staff all very friendly.
