"The hotel was okay but the property looked older, like renovations or upgrading to the building or rooms hadn't happened much since the 90s, the beds and the furniture had been upgraded, and admittedly the bed was comfortable, but the TV was limited and didn't function well. Honestly, it was giving extended stay motel but the few patrons we talked to were very very friendly. We didn't interact with a single staff member the entire time we were there besides when I checked in but that wasn't a turn off for us. The beach access was awesome and the pool was alright. The floaties were a nice touch for my daughter. I just wish there was a ramp access to the beach for a wagon or stroller. Overall, not s horrible "

"Room had new flooring , No carpet which was nice. . Shower could have used updating with shelves for soap and shampoo . Some mold around edges on shower floor. , old curtain instead of shower doors. But other than that everything was ok.in room. Also not having continental breakfast was a first for us . We really missed that. Most hotels now have very nice breakfast for the patrons. Staff was friendly and helpful."

"Housekeeping is non-existent unless you request service and they do not even clean the room. They just throw towels, shampoo, tissues and toilet paper on a counter for you to put away yourself. Everything is dirty and rusted. Pool is closed most of the time. 2 of 4 elevators broken for weeks. Rooms are dirty at check-in with hairs all over the entire bathroom."

"My family and I came to Pensacola to celebrate a birthday, graduation, and mother's Day. We can from different states and cities. Originally I booked a Villa and Studio through Southern Vacation Rentals and it was a nightmare when at check in there was rodent poop in the bedrooms and broken locks. On check in day I checked out bc they would not relocate us to a habitable safe place and also didn't give a full refund which I will dispute later. I was left scrambling for a place my family and I ended up finding places to stay and now separately which, was not our plan. I found Surf and Sand and the rooms are nice and clean. Everything in working condition and door that locked. The staff is one of the best I've dealt with at any rental, resort, or hotel in a long time. From the front desk check in/check out to the breakfast room attendant they went above and beyond. There is a lot of things offered too like a nice fire pit hang out, sand box, pool, kayaks, bikes,beach towels and more. This hotel in also located in a great spot. The only thing is elevator maybe could use an update and building outside could use fresh paint but I am sure the paint issue probably due to be close to the ocean so really that is no big deal. It is a good property and the staff is a BIG part of that. Well ran. Thank you!!!"

"Nice beach view in Tides 3rd or 4th Floor. Security present. Not crowded. Looks great for older persons. Sort of dead, little excitement. Lack of people present first week of May. Marty security guard GREAT!"

"Amazing beach views but thats all the room had damage all over and everything was outdated. The sheets were dingy no hot water for showers and no supplies in the room to cook. Enjoyed the easy beach access. But very disappointed in our stay. The staff said they would send someone each time but Noone ever showed after we called 4 times and went to the office twice.. I feel like I wasted my money. Too expensive for poor service. I will never stay here again..."
