It was our frst time visiting the Maldives and Baros lived up to everything we wished for. Being only 25 minutes by speed boat from the airport we wondered about aircraft noise but only seen 2 planes in 5 days and heard no noise. The staff were very friendly and couldnt do enough for you. We will definately go back again to Baros Island.

Excellent island hotel. Great staff. We arrived into Male at 6.30am and the hotel arranged a private transfer. Our rooms were ready early which was great after a long flight. Our double bedroom villa was perfect for our teenage kids and there was enough for them to do on the island for a week. Food was amazing with the al la carte options. Would definitely go back.

What an incredible place! The views, the peace, the sheer beauty, everything was all we wanted and more. The staff are incredibly helpful and the kindest we have ever encountered. Ok .Where to start.Staff are very friendly and set the vibe here with there happy great attitude towards life which is refreshing and wecomed. Lovely hotel with fantastic helpful friendly staff. Room great and spotlessly clean. Excellent food in the restaurant. Very quiet and peaceful when we visited. Thulusdhoo is a quiet local island, no alcohol available but that was no problem for us.

The staff was extremely helpful, helped us in several occasions, excursions booking and even took us to the local doctor when my wife suffered an injury. The massage was also very pleasant. Local restaurants close by with reasonable prices. The bikini beach was some distance from the hotel but you can use bycicles provided by the hotel. For European eyes the hotel could use some refurbishment.

Upon coming off the boat from Maldives the hotel driver was waiting for us, helped us with our luggage, when we had arrived 10 minutes later it started to rain, we were greeted by two others that gave us a umbrella each and handled our luggage to reception, easy check in & everything was explained about breakfast bar etc, all of the room was explained fully, we had a lovely room with great views, dinner was very good and reasonable & the view was of the bay & the airport, easy checkout. Transfer was excellent! Check in was stress free. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Location was lovely and peaceful, just what we needed after a long flight. We booked a massage on our arrival which was absolutely fantastic! One night stay arriving late and leaving early. Perfectly good for this purpose. Staff who greeted us on arrival were good and helped us pay our taxi driver who didn't have change. Thank you!

We stayed at the Ocean Grand for one night on arrival to Male, the hotel staff were great, Sanjay the hotel manager was very helpful. The hotel is small but well kept and it is just across the road from the beach. The hotel is very convenient as it is located on the same island as the airport, so transfers are very quick. The room was a little on the small side, but was sufficient for one night.

Really liked our stay at Star Shell. The staff are excellent and super helpful. We were travelling with two young kids and honestly their service and friendliness really made our trip so much easier. We were always helped with our luggage without asking and with no expectation of a tip. I would highly recommend using theit airport service.
