"Had a lovely stay at Windsor cottage. Well presented, great amenities and the most comfortable bed in the master bedroom. Slept like a log! Ate out in local restaurants, which were lovely especially Alberto’s Italy. There are a couple of free parking areas in town 5-10 minutes away. During our stay there was a film set in place for Father Brown and a restriction at the end of the road. It didn’t take away from our stay, but was glad of the premier inn parking just a 100m away. "The room was very comfortable and clean. Lovely big shower. The hotel was very nice and again very clean. Great bar. As you walk in to the reception it is very grand like walking into a beautiful Manor House. Breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. The problem I had was it said in the booking email they check in was 2pm. It isn’t it’s 3pm . So be careful."

"We were disappointed with the meal and service on the night we ate at the hotel. We felt the menu had limited choices and we both had fish and chips and the fish was quite greasy. The service was limited as there was a large golfing group in the buffet area that needed to be dealt with, so perhaps it would have been better had they not needed all the staff to deal with them. The parking was great and plenty of room for many cars. The breakfast on both morning was good and plenty to chose from. The reception staff on arrival were helpful and whilst we were shown a double bed room they quickly changed it into a twin bed configuration that we had originally asked. We would stay again but maybe eat off the premises in the evening."

"The from of the building is very nice but the back down the very narrow entrance looks like an old nursing home or a once before block of flats. The lift needs updating. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was between 08:00 -10:00 yet the fried eggs looked like they had been out for hours."
