the out side was not clean there was no security on site and the single for the tv was not working for the one night and could not check in until after 3pm with out being charged

What I did like about this property was that the staff were very friendly and kind…. I was a bit disappointed when I arrived there was a parking fee, the carpet in the room had stains everywhere on it, and the room smelled like smoke, the pull out couch was old the mattress was worn out not comfortable to sleep on it. Breakfast was very limited things to choose from! I was a bit upset because I booked this property because of my 5year old nephew who stayed with me for the Memorial Day holiday 05/22/05-28 and the property advertised there basketball court and pool, and the pool wasn’t open until 05/25, whereas it rained on Memorial Day! It is convenient to the airport and some shopping center is close by! I brought some of my personal covers and pillows and when staff came in to clean the room while I was not there, they told one of my pillows and couldn’t find it! I was very upset with that because why are you touching my personal belongings, my pillow case was a different color and had design on it, so how could they think it was theirs.

The room was very nice and updated. When they cleaned they did not clean everything correctly or at all. The building shows it's age, even the doors in the hallways. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a a couple issue in the room which they fixed the morning after. Accessibility to downtown and restaurants was great. Overall it was good.

Property seems old and kind of dirty. Wengot a room on the 1st floor, it was smelly, sheets and towells were wear out, stained sofa. I liked the shower though.

Do not stay here! The desk was overwhelmed and each person returned after getting to their rooms with issues. We were not given sheets for the sofa bed. We had to seek them out. The shuttle bus driver for the airport shuttle got us sheets and ONE pillow to share with the three of us. The pillow case was wrinkled mess and I suspect it was taken out of a dirty clothes bin. The breakfast was completely amazing- however the room is so tiny that guests were lined up. The carpets were so filthy that I threw away my socks, mildew in the bathroom showers and no toilet paper. There was noise ALL NIGHT LONG. The cleaning staff carts in the morning made exiting completely I Possible with a suitcase in tow and do not expect any help whatsoever. The pool- if that is what they call it- is behind the building in a small cement slab. There is limited access to it and it is nestled inside the back loop of traffic and right next to a dumpster. The water was murky and green and completely disgusting. I’m so upset at the cost of the room in comparison to the conditions- Stay away!!!!! It’s awful here and they will not assist. A woman checked in to her room that was to have two beds and was told if she wanted two she would pay the difference. She showed the clerk her online booking and they told her that “third party sites” are cheaper but make mistakes and ultimately the hotel decides which room you are assigned. I was assigned the room that the previous guest discarded.

First room had dirty sheets, bed had been made without changing them, floor and window sills were dirty. Carpet on second floor was very. Second room was better. Breakfast was good with variety. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Was charged $25 for early check in, 45 minutes (had been up since 3:30 am due to early flight) refunded after I showed staff the dirty sheets.

Facilities are not in great physical condition. Hallways, elevators, doors, etc. were in need of serious renovation. Breakfast was disappointing and almost entirely empty. Check in and out was easy. Location convenient for airport and attractions in North Charleston.

The location is great, assuming you are visiting areas other than just the historic area. While the area right around the hotel is a bit worn looking, we felt safe. The hotel itself was clean and you can tell the employees try to make for a great experience.

The hallways were dirty with used bed sheets sitting on the ground. Garbage sitting bagged in allways. Noise at all hours of the night. Staff were not in any kind of uniform so wasn't even sure if they person at front desk was part of the hotel. Lobby was dirty and pictures were not representative of the property
