There must have been bed bugs in my bed because I had bites all over my chest and arm and I was itching for days. The staff was excellent. The room looked extremely clean. The bathroom seemed clean. Air conditioning worked. Heat worked fine. I would stay again except for not in that room number. The breakfast was fine. Except the breakfast staff definitely needs more staff. They were overwhelmed and over worked. Needed a TIP JAR.

Power outage multiple times through my SINGLE NIGHT visit. Absolutely no communication from staff. Also, an EXTREMELY LOUD beeping sound BLARING at 6 in the morning??? And then again beeping all over the place, shrill and constant and no one doing anything about it? Even when the power was supposedly fully functional, the lights in the room I was in literally only worked half the time I tried them. I hate leaving bad reviews and I genuinely never do it but this stay was so frustrating. And absolutely nothing was done about the power outage, the alarming beeping, the place was not very clean and frankly insanely expensive for the quality. Not to mention the lack of parking. Why have two hotels attached in one place if you’re not going to have sufficient parking, for one, and for two, why not have carts and elevators that are convenient to find and use? No luggage carts whatsoever.

We were visiting for the Memorial Day weekend and the stay at the hotel wasn’t the best but you do get what you pay for. The pros about this property is that the hotel is surrounded by various restaurants and there’s nearly supermarkets and shopping complexes. The hotel offers good and free breakfast, they have a pool, the hotel staff refilled our room with additional towels, the staff and the housekeepers were nice and a laundry room so that was nice for us. But the cons: the carpet felt sticky where we had to wear sandals and shoes to protect our feet, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned all the way through, and we had to change the connection cords where we needed to plug in either the TV, Coffee Maker, Microwave or some random cable, probably the wired telephone. As a person who values physical health, I was disappointed when the gym wasn’t maintained, it smelled funny, most of the equipment wasn’t working properly and it was dirty. Through the three days we stayed, everything was fine but on the last day, the power went out in the morning on the day we checked out, random alarm sounds were activated which disturbed our sleep and the elevator was down. I hate giving out bad reviews for any hotel especially this is my first time booking a choice hotel but if the management from Sleep Inn look at this review, please don’t take this offensive but use the criticisms to improve this hotel and have the potential to make this mediocre hotel into a better hotel.

For a cheap hotel it was okay. The room was super small, the mattress was terrible and the bathroom was so small the shower door grazed the toilet if you opened it all the way. The room was very clean, and the service was decent. Great for an overnight layover, but not longer than that.

The mirror in the bathroom was dirty. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall as soon as I tried to use it. The bathroom in general was just not good. The hall way was not clean. If I had other options I would have taken them but it was a last minute trip, and wasn’t trying to overspend. I checked out early.

I was apprehensive staying here at first after the reviews but I did not experience any negative aspects during my stay. Clean and cold room, convenient eateries right outside and a small drive away from Norfolk AND VA beach. Room was clean and staff cleaned..occasionally. The only thing barring a five star is the cleaning staff not taking out trash during my stay. They did however, swap out my towels so good enough for me.

This is a kid friendly hotel with lots of children and teens. Despite that, it was quiet after 10pm, with the exception of teens running down the hall at about 4:30 am. My room was clean and breakfast may have been good, however it is self serve and the kids dominated the area, it was not clean and the kids were allowed to make their own waffles. If you're looking for kid friendly, this is the place for you. If you desire something quieter and with decent continental breakfast, look elsewhere. I also smelled weed in the hallway. It’s cheap though!
