"Hotel room was very spacious and well catered, the restaurant served an excellent selection of food. The staff were friendly and the onsite parking was a bonus as street parking would have been difficult. We had minor issue with our plugs in bathroom not opening which meant water could not drain but this was reported and fixed by staff."

We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed an 80s throwback of prawn cocktail followed by scampi and chips. Breakfast was made to order and was also delicious. The hotel is really clean, the hallway areas could be modernised but that didn’t detract from the nice bedroom and breakfast room."

Or shelling out £240 for a room but not getting any toiletries and no warning to bring your own. Or artwork that borders on the naff. But it also means a hotel with character. And a great breakfast. And the best views on the West Wales coast. So, if you’re up for ‘quirky’, give it a try. Bring your own shampoo."
