"We always stay here when we visit this area. This property cannot be beat! A nice easy nature walk to the Bitterroot River to watch wildlife is right outside of the door. There is a small pond on the property with waterfowl raising their young in the summer. The fireplace is so nice in cool weather! Everyone working here is always so nice!"

"Hearthstone was excellent, the staff is very friendly and lives on site, the building has some very nice architectural touches and is very clean, the rooms have vintage furniture and their own unique personalities, and everything's very comfy. I had the best night of sleep of my entire two week trip, and woke up to the view of the Clearwater river from the room. The breakfast at the Hearthstone Bakery in town is less than 5 minutes away, and was definitely worth the trip. You do have to go up a relatively steep gravel drive to the lodge from the highway, but I was able to make it just fine under wet conditions with a 2-wheel-drive station wagon that has no ground clearance, so it's not bad at all. I highly recommend staying at the lodge, I'll definitely be returning on my next trip."
