The property was recently remodeled the rooms are newer and cleaner so are the hallways and common area’s . They changed the breakfast to buffet style and now the menu is limited plus food is cold by the time you sit to eat it. The service in the rooms is very poor they do not clean the rooms only make your bed and leave towels also AC did not work the 3 days I was there they sent someone up once all though we called 3 times

The building, property and view were amazing. However, the wi-fi was spotty and often weak, the television channels were sparse, and the electric was downright abysmal. Plugging in the room provided Nespresso machine knocked out the power in the room. It happened twice and was informed not to use it in again. We switched rooms and the bathroom electric could not accommodate the hair dryer that was provided. The hair dryer burned out and blew the receptacle to which the button was stuck and it could not be reset until someone came to fix it. Also the trash bin in the bathroom (or elsewhere) does not come with a plastic bag. This is not hygienic for the housekeeping staff who could be exposed to unsanitary conditions. I hope management considers these comments because the property really is beautiful.

This was our 3rd stay. Once when it was the gurneys, 2nd time was once it sold and changed hands and 3rd after the renovations we’re supposed to be “done”. The rooms looked great but our outlets lost power 2x during our stay and we had to wait 30 minutes each time to have them reset. Then we find out the pool isn’t open and we were told we can’t even sit by the pool. The staff was less than understanding and said it was on the website but it was not and we were never notified. Then they dare charge us the resort fee when things are not fully available to their guests. Very disappointed with our stay.

We had numerous issues with the power in the rooms, management knew of the problem and really showed zero concern. Wife was never able to curl or flat iron her hair in the bathroom. The maintenance guy told us not to use the coffee machine or it will trip the GFI again and again. The safe in the room did not work, something to do with a programming issue, management was not concerned whatsoever about the safes either. They charge a Resort Fee yet the pool was closed for repairs and upgrades. When we stay at JW Marriots or properties with amenities they are very welcoming to our concerns and will rebate back to us something showing that they acknowledge the issue and make it right, not Newport Harbour Resort. They must be under new management it was made very obvious they were struggling and were not going to credit back anything or even acknowledge they had several issues. Seemed desperate for cash to me, or management has been instructed to not give in, in any form or fashion. Check out time was 12:00 no exceptions, even though we had all of these issues, they still were not willing to give an inch. We will never return to this property and will make it a point to make sure that every one we cross will know their horrible customer service and issues.

I liked that the hotel was all re done inside but in my own opinion the rooms have a weird laylout and were tiny. The fact that they are all re done makes it nice but if that was not the case I would not care for this hotel. It’s set off on its own island so have to drive into area with food and stores, they also offer transportation. In my opinion the website makes it look better than it is. Tiny gym but does the job. Indoor pool was small and cute. Small bakery only breakfast option in hotel and closed by 11. Not many food options. We went off property or door dashed. Can walk to one cafe outside hotel anything else is not walking distance. Our shower was not cleaned at all. It was full of hair and some odd stuff, besides that everything else was like new. Some staff was nicer then others. I would not go back again but it’s not a bad spot.

Spent a day here with my partner - had a lovely time! The facility has clearly been renewed recently because everything seemed brand new. Our room on the 8th floor was spacious, clean, and very well decorated. The common areas have a unique style - you feel like you’re on a boat. We were somewhat nervous when we booked it as people had some complaints about the reopening week, but decided to give it a chance nevertheless - and we were very glad we did! Will definitely go back.

The hotel is in a nice location, but it is completely run down and outdated on the outside. The rooms and the lobby were updated. I felt for the resort fee that they charge, there should have been more amenities.

From the moment we walked into the property we were welcomed and treated like family. The facility was well managed and maintained. We stayed two nights at this property Oct 7-9 with European friends. The first night there was a storm and a large piece of construction material broke loose and banged loudly outside their room. Staffing is below par: bar area tables are not cleared (unless you do it yourself) and the breakfast shop had only one person working and was agonizingly slow for mediocre food. The staff at the check-in desk was friendly but they were unable to rouse anyone to light another fire pit for us. Overall, this feels like a downward trending but still expensive place. We cannot recommend.

Located on a small island the resort is in a superb location with panoramic views (Book a sea view room with veranda). Friendly helpful staff. A free transport across to Newport and the shops and restaurants. Good parking in site.

When we arrived, they gave us a room that was supposedly an upgrade. Tried to walk in the room, the door to sticks. You have to put your shoulder into it to get it open. There’s a hole in the wall in the hallway,furniture was extremely outdated , there was mold in the shower and coming through the wallpaper. When I complained the night manager was nice enough to get us another room in the other wing of the building it was their model room, which was much nicer and clean, but not well laid out. They’re closing for a complete remodel in a few weeks. Thank God! With the amount of money I spent on that room even with a remodel I would never pay that again .

The parking was terrible due to multiple events on every night we were there. The noise was ridiculous including our being woke up at 3:26AM on morning by a woman screaming. Tough Experience
There were several issues we had. Our first room we had checked into was essentially a box (the parking awning blocked the entirety of the window), and to the staff's credit, they did find another room with a nicer view quickly. There was a wedding happening and in spite of asking guests to quiet down, it was nearly impossible with people shuffling in and out late at night. The priority seemed to be keeping wedding guests happy over other guests. Lastly, our shower was broken and we had to wait for another 45 minutes before the staff found us another room to shower in. This delay that morning caused us to miss our reservation for later that day. It's rare we'd say a hotel stay has ruined a trip but this came close.
