"Easy parking right out front. Very nice ladies at check in. Loved the lay-out of our room with the mini-living room and wet bar. BUT the vanity counter is too deep for a somewhat shorter person and the lighting terrible for hair and make-up. Nice to have generous travel bottles of bath products plus a make-up washcloth and make-up remover. Super comfy bed and soft bedding. Only the casual restaurant was open but it was good for a chicken club salad and carnitas quesadilla. Chef came out and visited with us. There was a complimentary breakfast (first "free breakfast" I've ever seen in a casino hotel) and it was adequate. Out-of-the-oven biscuits and tasty gravy plus assorted breads, rolls and toaster waffles. Maybe hard-boiled eggs and yogurts would be a nice touch. The pool area looked nice but it was very windy and we arrived too late to spend time out there. The price was definitely good for what was provided. I do wish the slot machines had been friendlier to me though! I would recommend this as a travel stop-over."
"It was noisy because of all the slamming doors. The blackout curtain had multiple tears or holes. The A/C was barely adequate. This hotel needs a major renovation. "
"Staff was very attentive to our needs. We had an issue with the room and was immediately given another room and he apologized for the inconvenience and offered to help us move our luggage.
Only issue that was a real problem was the noise created when adjoining room to our room 118 was when they ran the water in the morning. So loud it woke us up.
The breakfast at 8am was very picked over and some items were depleted. The staff member offered to make more of the depleted items.
When checking out the staff member again offered to help with the luggage and even held the door and wished us safe travels.
We would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the area. "
"We stayed in Winfield for our son’s wedding and booked four rooms for the weekend for family. Some stayed three nights, others two. Unfortunately, none of us would stay here again.
Our bed felt like a mattress on a board, and I woke with hip and lower back pain that worsened over the stay. We were told there were no other rooms available when we asked to switch. Other family members said their beds were somewhat better, but experiences varied.
The AC/heater units were very loud and rattled. In two rooms, the sink was outside the bathroom, which was inconvenient since there was no bathroom mirror. One toilet was visibly stained, which was off-putting.
Positives included large, working TVs and carpet that seemed fine. However, several fans were placed in the second-floor hallway for unknown reasons.
A major issue was the strong marijuana smell throughout both floors. When mentioned to staff, the response was simply “yeah” with no action taken. The key card entrance system also did not appear to be working.
Our sons’ room had a serious issue with the water—it had a strong, unpleasant smell, so they avoided showering and used bottled water to brush their teeth.
The hotel overall feels very dated with little to no updates. The continental breakfast looked minimal, though we did not try it.
Overall, it met the basic need of lodging for a family event, but cleanliness, maintenance, and responsiveness were disappointing."
"In our room the main TV didn’t work, the pillows were hard as a rock, the pool wasn’t open nor the hot tub. The furniture in the lobby was filthy with stains all over them. Will not return."
