"Arrived to a sign in reception saying it is not manned and to ring the bell. Someone came after a short wait and booked me in. I paid extra for breakfast and was told my room was upstairs with key in the door. 2 flights of stairs and the room was clean and tidy. More like an apartment than a bedroom with kitchen and dining table. Nothing to allow you to have a hot drink such as milk or tea/coffee even though there is a fridge and kettle. "Hotel in lovely location. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast superb. Could access tea room at any time of day on first floor for free cups. No lift in the hotel which could be a problem for some people. If we visited Scharding again, we would definitely book up this hotel."
