"The Worst Stay Ever This was by far the most disappointing accommodation we’ve ever experienced. The place was filthy upon arrival — so much dust, dead insects, crumbs in the kitchen, and hair from previous guests that it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. We immediately reported it, and while a cleaning team was supposedly sent, nothing improved. We have multiple photos to prove just how dirty it was. "Our stay at Hotel Orso Bruno on Lake Como was truly memorable- the hotel has a unique charm that made the experience special and authentic. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. It was a wonderful place to stay that I highly recommend."

"I booked a stay at this Filario Hotel, but fell we fell sick before the hotel stay. We reached out 24 hours prior to the hotel stay to see if we can switch to date ore receive a partial refund, but the hotel staff took the entire cost of the booking as they said it was nonrefundable when we booked it through expedia. We even provided a doctor's note, but they were not accommodating. The hotel staff and management were very late to respond despite multiple emails, just giving us the run around. We certainly understand it is not refundable, but they could have allowed us to switch to an alternate date when the hotel had availability. They took our money and relisted the rooms, so they made money on us when we got sick. They are not friendly or accommodating. Ultimately, it was very disappointing as we were looking forward to the visiting lake como. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone!"

"This hotel was by far the best hotel we’ve stayed through our whole entire Italy trip. The hotel staff is extremely helpful at any given time, the breakfast was incredible and the best we’ve had in our trip and our room the villa overseeing the lake como with private access to the water was incredible. We will definitely be coming back and staying with at this hotel again. Also, if you have a car they have private parking which comes in handy, but also a bus station is nearly 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel."

"PIECE OF HEAVEN!! My partner and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay at this beautiful villa! The host was so kind and welcoming, and also speaks English in case visitors do not speak Italian. The villa itself was built decades ago, so you get the beautiful historic feeling of the villa. But the bathrooms and shower are all updated and modernized. The complimentary breakfast was delicious! The villa is situated right in front of Lake Como, so you get the best view of the lake! Our room came with a balcony where we sat and enjoyed the lake view. The property was so well kept and organized! We did have to share a shower with another guest, but honestly it was not inconvenient at all as we barely saw the other guest. The area itself is quiet and family friendly. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!"

"The minute you enter the boutique hotel lobby you’re greeted by a lovely attendant. He was very helpful and so nice. Our room was super clean, very new, and beautiful. The included breakfast is fantastic! Views of the lake were spectacular. The location is about 10 minutes (walking) from a cafe and 10 min drive from a small town. Walking is a bit doggy with limited sidewalks and speedy traffic, but we managed with no problems. Highly recommend this hotel!"
