"Great secluded hotel with a nice view from a distance. The nearest restaurant is at the golf course and stays open until 8pm. There is not much in the town of Balfour so make sure to hit the store for anything you may need. What they do have closes pretty early. The only disappointing thing was the distance to the lake. It is lake view only. If you want to go to the lake you will need to drive or walk a good distance"

Cloudside Hotel

Cloudside Hotel

8/10 Good
"The upper level unit is nice, with easier private access from the back, but still stairs up. It's a very old building, so bear that in mind, but this unit was nicely updated and furnished with everything we needed. The AC are window units and pretty loud. The view is OK, buildings and cell towers but you can see the lake hillside and bridge. Staff was nice and friendly. Easy walking down to the town and everything right there. We were lucky and always got one of the 4 available parking spots in back, otherwise it would have been a big hassle."

"Staff was helpful and friendly. The train is very short lived when it passes through. The walk over to the other hotel was a lake side jaunt. Id stay there again."

"I have been staying at the Adventure for years. I actually stayed there when it was The Lord Nelson. It’s in a great location and you can walk to all the shops and restaurants. The parking is limited so if you are able to get a spot you should probably walk to everything anyway."
