Huge perk is the access (beach or otherwise) to their sister property on the water - Belmond Saint Andrea - they treat you as if your one of theirs. "Really lovely hotel! The location right off the Corso Umberto was awesome and it was surrounded by great food options. We faced the inner courtyard and were unfortunately woken up for a few minutes every night around 4am by the glass recycling being dumped, but that was the only negative. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel helped us arrange a taxi to the train station before we departed."

"La Plage has magnificent views of the sea and the iconic Isola Bella. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. Be aware that the beach is rocky and hard to walk on and it’s difficult to enter and exit the sea for a swim. It’s easy to get up to Taormina via the funivia (cable car) for a 10€ round trip. "
