When our Uber driver dropped us off at this property, we weren’t too sure about it, but we enjoyed a delightful overnight pre-cruise stay. We walked to a multi-cultural market for supper and then to a fantastic pancake place for breakfast the next morning. Had we needed it, Walmart was within walking distance too. Property very clean and suited our needs perfectly!!

Very bad and dangerous neighborhood. Please don’t come here if you’re normal person especially with the family. People from next door started bbq at 10:30 pm and until 4:00 am they were blasting the music talking very loudly just because I realized what kind of people are surrounding me didn’t want to put my and my kids life under the risk and complain or call 911. Plus, their “included breakfast” is just cereal.

Everything is fine, the hotel is nice, for the price, but the front desk people are not friendly but it was good, what I didn't like is that it says it includes breakfast and it doesn't even have a microwave, just coffee and some rolls

Unfortunately the area was not the best, a little scary for my family. Spiders were in the restroom, the bathroom was not clean and the beds were not comfortable. The neighbors had people in and out all night. They had people knocking and loud conversations. We were afraid to say anything. Staff on the other hand were polite and very helpful.

Not bad. You get what you pay for. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but housekeeping ladies were very sweet! Probably wouldn’t stay again, but can’t say that I was disappointed.

i waited 30 minutes before they checked me in. they been having problem with one of the guest. National city Police are there dealing with the guest drama . it was a late check in for me.

The hotel is clearly older but renovated inside the room very nicely and quite clean. But the area of town freaks me out. If it wasn’t for the kind desk staff who assured me it’s safe - I would have been far more concerned about staying here.

My stay at Howard Johnson was so nice and pleasant the rooms were very clean and new they were so comfy and cozy the tv has so many movies, the front desk young man I think his name was Juan was super kind and helpful

The property was great for the price and clean andFriendly staff.Only downfall was the women working the corners dress really inappropriately if you know what i mean. If you have small children cover their eyes. But we were 2 adults so it was just a shock to us but we didnt care since the room and inn was clean.

Clean room. Nice staff. No complaints. However, be aware the area around the hotel is crawling with prostitutes. I am not exaggerating. Roosevelt Avenue and the side street 5th are really bad after 4 PM. This is not a safe area after 4 PM. Not family friendly.
