The Inn was a step back in time. The B&B (house) was built back in the late 1800’s. The current owners are working as they can to make the home resemble what it was back then. It is a beautiful part of history and the owners are very pleasant and welcoming.

Old architecture which could be incredible with some updating by a professional interior designer. Chose to stay here after reading about special crepes that were served for breakfast and they did not serve them—total disappointment. Toilet did not flush properly and needed the attention of an expert plumber. Front porch was dirty and furniture on it was in desperate need of cleaning.

The staff was delightful and very helpful. Shirley, Harmony and John were all great and very hospitable. We felt extremely welcomed. Breakfast and afternoon wine/cookies were very good. We had a nice stay and the room was comfortable. Property is nicely decorated and very convenient to downtown.

We love to visit Natchitoches. This is a beautiful old home, walkable to the dining and shopping area. Very well done. Great breakfast. HOWEVER - be aware, this is a 3-story structure with no elevator.

Was very nice! Walking distance to historic downtown. The room and bathroom was big and spacious. Very clean. Thought the mini fridge in room with complimentary drinks was a nice touch. Breakfast was very good. Various rooms you can just sit and relax. The owners and staff working there do a great job! Would definitely stay again!

Visit with grandkids.
We were there for one night to visit grandkids. Sweet Cane Inn was perfect in every way. As many times as we’ve been to Natchitoches, this was our first time at your lovely, quaint home. We will definitely be back. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Thanks so much.

The inn is a gorgeous building and the room was so comfortable. Lots of thoughtful details in what’s provided, plus beautiful communal spaces to enjoy. The breakfast was excellent. This is a great town to explore, as well.

It is a charming grand historical home that offers a hint of times past. The holiday decor was beautiful and added extra charm to the experience. We especially liked the location, just a short walk to the historical downtown with its shops, restaurants and view of the Christmas lights. Our hostess was very sweet and the breakfast yummy. Wonderful visit.

We love the Sweet Cane Inn. We’ve stayed there several times and is the only place we want to stay when visiting Natchitoches. Perfect get away!!!

Their breakfasts were excellent. Enjoyed chatting with Kimberly the hostess about the Sweet Cane. Beautiful home. Loved the wine & cookies at 4pm! My only negative would be that the third floor rooms need a bit of attention. Perhaps a visit from the owner to assess.
