"The oceanfront bure was absolutely amazing! One of the best places I stayed on my trip for sure. The staff was great and the diving was awesome. The food could use a little love, but I really enjoyed my stay here."

"Lovely family who run the place, but quite fun down. Bungalows were built 20 years ago and have had no renovation.
That said everything was functional. No cell signal except in 2 spots by the beach Very intermittently. No ac, no hot water, no locks for the doors.
Food was basic but good and plenty of it.
Reef shark feeding snokel activity was absolutley amazing.
Hiking trails do not exist. Guide needed to hike.
I was there alone for one night, then joined by a couple the next.
Excellent place if you want peace and quiet"
"Staff and management who always go the extra mile. Our visit could have been a potential disaster. I am in my 70’s with heart problems. My only criticism of the management is that it states nowhere that the restaurant is up a steep incline with steps then to climb. After my first visit, for me it was impossible .The staff, then surpassed themselves. Their answer was to bring the meals down to my husband and I. Everything was laid out to perfection, served by Peti ,in a courteous manner. Valentines night was stunning, a beautiful table with flowers, decorative serviettes and lots of love. Everyone came to chat, staff and fellow travellers alike. ‘This was one of 4 Fijian islands we stayed on and a place where young and old exchanged stories and enjoyed the relaxing friendly space. A wonderful place to visit. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special. All our love Marie and John

"This lodge is not up front about letting you know there is a hefty mandatory per day food charge. I booked through Expedia expecting just lodging but found out after booking my room and the ferry to take me there that there is a non negotiable $20 tender fee and $80.00 op per night food charge. There is nothing on the Expedia site about this and Expedia was not helpful. Unfortunately I booked 2 days prior to arrival and had a non refundable return ticket via the ferry so could not change. There is limited power, no eSIM data and no wifi so I had to keep the booking. Like other island resorts they really need to state up front, before you book, the full cost of staying there. This is an all inclusive not just a room booking as you are lead to believe in Expedia. Expedia is aware an to date has not updated their site. Just be aware the cost is a lot more than advertised. "
"Three of us stayed at Navutu Stars for three nights. The room was beautiful—very spacious, private, and right on its own beach, which we loved.
That said, the resort is extremely small, with one central area for all meals, and the menu did not change during our stay. Getting there requires a four-hour ferry ride from Port Denarau with only one arrival and departure per day, so flights must be planned carefully. The ride can be rough if you’re prone to motion sickness.
Fiji overall is quite expensive, and water is not complimentary with meals, which adds up quickly. The resort is very natural, so there are many insects, which may be uncomfortable for some guests.
Our main takeaway is that this is a very quiet, slow-paced resort. With only about 15 guests and 1–2 short activities per day, most of the time is spent relaxing. The pool is small and not very inviting. If you’re looking for an active resort experience, this may not be the right fit, but it could suit travelers seeking total relaxation and privacy.

"Everything. The Octopus was memorable, relaxing and welcoming. From the charming bures to cheerful service. And the beauty of the water is unsurpassed. "
"Absolutely amazing homestay! The hospitality was fabulous, with generous and delicious portions and the family was so welcoming. The views and ocean were absolutely stunning and the hike was incredible with some truly beautiful scenery. The kids were lovely to spend time with, so well-mannered and a joy to get to know. The accommodation is simple and basic, but very comfortable and excellent value for money. Overall, such a special and memorable experience. Highly recommend!"
"Mai sunset is the perfect resort for people wanting a quiet stay, where you feel like family. The daily snorkelling trips (which are included) are not to be missed! The coral around the island is especially colourful and can see incredible fish at different times. It's definitely the most alive coral reefs we've ever seen in Fiji.
We also went on a manta ray trip, and although we weren't lucky enough to see rays - we had an amazing experience. The ladder on the boat might need to be replaced soon though!
The rooms are a perfect size, the outdoor shower is divine and the rooms have a small fridge too. Every staff member we met made us feel like part of the family and we spent so much time chatting with staff and other guests. We were one of 5 or 7 people on the resort during our stay and it never felt too busy.
We can't wait to return! Thank you Liddi, Paul, Elinoa, Male, Saku, Jay, Ami, Api, Venni, Rusi, John and all the wonderful staff that make Mai sunset the best destination in the Yasawa islands. "
