"Absolutely amazing, great location, nice and peaceful. Host made sure that me and my friend are happy with everything and she was available if we needed anything. The Royal Victoria Hotel

"The hotel is in a superb location and the gardens are beautiful. We enjoyed delicious evening meals in the bar and breakfast was good with great views if you managed to get a table in the conservatory. The room was fine with a comfy bed and fabulous Mountain View’s a good selection of tea/coffee. The bathroom was disappointing though, there were rust marks on the wall and bath from the handrail over the bath and the towel rail was very close to the toilet so I think if it had been on you may burn yourself. This would not deter us from staying again but it does make the room appear in need of improvement."

"The property was clean and the room had nice sea views. The rooms are in a converted house next to the Indian restaurant at the site. They are as mentioned in the description accessed via stairs .. quite a few although was offered help with bags. The main negative factor is the location. We arrived and witnessed an altercation on the street in the mid-afternoon with a women punched in the face. The police attended. We looked for other food options but only fish and chips available nearby. which were good but not much choice of eateries near by. We booked for two nights stay but found a better option out of Bangor for the second night. Not a reflection on the accommodation or staff but rather the location."

"A friendly welcome although despite checking in online we still had to repeat the process at reception. The parking instructions had changed since we had made the booking only a few days earlier so we had to move the car. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a lovely welcome note which was a nice touch. The shower curtain bracket was broken in the en-suite which we reported to reception although the curtain could still be used. There was plenty of hot water however, the water pressure from the shower was weak so it took awhile to rinse off. The extractor fan does run on for a very long time. Thankfully we do not need the tv as reception was very poor despite the Amazon firestick. The evening meal was fine but breakfast with the full Welsh was variable and some components were too dried out e.g. bacon, black pudding. All the staff were helpful and readily available even as they were clearly very busy."
