Suite Lanka is such a lovely place. We stayed for 11 days so longer than most and throughout our stay the staff didn’t put a foot wrong. This is what makes this place special. What a find! This place is a newly opened small boutique guest house built in Colonial style that has everything you could wish for during your stay in Hikkaduwa. Peter, the owner, is a man many years in the hospitality trade who is incredibly welcoming and hospitable, going out of his way to ensure his guests are happy and comfortable at all times. We spent six nights at the Asian Jewel and found it a wonderfully restful place to stay, with lovely gardens and a small clean swimming pool. We had the “Kingfisher” room which allowed wonderful views of the lagoon from the really large balcony. The restaurant offers really excellent Sri Lankan and western food. Fantastic beach front location with great views. Rooms and common areas very good standard and staff very helpful and hospitable. Lovely free perks in addition including afternoon tea/ cakes and drinks (gin/tonic, wine and beer) from 5-6pm. Food outstanding.

Mohan, the manager was extremely accommodating making gorgeous breakfasts and real cinnamon tea. The homestay is a really nice place to stay, in a quiet location but easily accessible to walk to the Fort and other local attractions. Tuk Tuks are made available with local drivers at a reasonable price to access the beach areas etc.This is the place to stay on anyone's plans visiting Sri Lanka. The location of this accommodation was ideal and the staff were excellent! They were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made the stay very welcoming and comfortable. Breakfast was incredible and I was even offered more, despite being totally full!

Loved this property. The reception was so friendly and welcoming. The pool is lovely. The food and drinks (aside from one mistake) was good and reasonably priced. We often had the beach to ourselves. A few things, such as the gym and probably do with a bit of an update/clean but it was the end of the season and there were very few people to use it. The hotel is nestled in the jungle along a dirt path. Our room had a balcony, with chairs, looking over the jungle and the lake, incredibly tranquil and beautiful. It was perfect even in the rain. We were treated superbly by the staff who wrote happy birthday mum in palm leaves on the bed and produced a cake with a firework fountain on top. We had a lovely stay at this hotel which is in such a great location with fabulous views of the beach. There's lots to do nearby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was very spacious (bed was huge!) and clean. The food was delicious. We would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Ceylon Olive. Kumudu & Era could not have done more for us during our stay, even when I had made a mistake about booking the wrong room; they quickly helped us move to another. They helped us book excursions and recommendations on where to eat or visit. We would love to come back and visit in the future! Thank you for making our first trip to Sri Lanka so special!
