"Our check in staff were quite rude, though the young man who checked us out was very nice. We had booked two rooms and one was pretty good, the other had a broken shower and housekeeping failed to leave any amenities. When the desk was called, no one answered. The property is within walking distance to town and hiking in the Cairngorms, which was really nice. Our first morning of breakfast was disappointing as they didn’t have several items ready, but the second morning was good. Overall, very inconsistent."
"Our room was excellent! Clean and spotless and comfortable. Our meals and portions were very good! The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Even though it was very late in the evening, the front desk person managed to have our laundry done and outside our door in the morning! Would definitely stay there again!"

"Room is basic and clean. The way the TV was placed made it impossible to watch from the bed - clearly it was not designed from the customer experience perspective. Location is convenient with a lot of restaurants and a co-op nearby."
"This hotel is run down and tired. While the rooms seem to have. been updated they lack any ornamentation at all to make you feel welcome . just bland boxes. there are no outlets by the bed for plugging in phones or other devices. The hallways are threadbare and seem to need more regular vacuuming. Half of the faucets in the ladies room didn't work. My room was noisy and rubbish taken out in the back byy window woke me up each morning at 6 am. I'd never stay there again."

"We deliberately booked this venue as they boasted 6 new EV chargers. They wrote to us in the days before we arrived and again highlighted the chargers.
We were therefore very surprised when we got there to learn that they weren't working and apparently hadn't worked for some time.
There was however one charger that was working but it was occupied. The next day it was again occupied by the same car and this happened again the following day. When we asked if the car could be moved as it would obviously now be full we were told no and that in fact belonged to a staff member!
For a hotel to market amenities that it does not in fact have operational is bad enough but then for a staff member to hog the one actual resource that many customers wanted is, in my view, completely unacceptable.
Mark Scobbie, the general manager of the hotel's owner, solicited feedback by way of a stock email after our stay and I fed this back to him. That feedback was completely ignored hence the need to write here. Overall a very disappointing customer service experience."
"Basic place to stay and the price was outrageous for being so basic. They tried to update the rooms but unfortunately it was a big failure. Musty smell, window wouldn’t open the shower door didn’t close and flooded the floor. The hot water booster was either scalding or freezing.
This place is best for a hostel vs 150£."
