The small village on Mykines only has about a dozen year long residents. The helicopter supplies them twice a week and takes them to one of the other islands if they have the need. During the summer many visitors come to see the birds that nest on the island or one of the islets close by. There are also summer residents many who have family history on the island. This old stone building houses supplies and equipment.

Smallest island I have ever been. Beautiful!
The cliffs of the island of Mykines in the Faroe Islands. Quite a view to and from the small harbor there.
The island of Mykines is known for nesting Puffins and other seabirds. It is a spectacular place to visit. The hiking was a bit challenging for me as were the heights, but the views were worth it.
