"The Hotel is in a great location, right on the beach and a short distance (approx 15-20 mins walk) from the more lively area of Giardini Naxos. There are numerous excellent restaurants and shops within yards of the hotel. The bus stop is just around the corner with good transport links to nearby towns. The hotel was wonderful; great facilities, with enormous, traditionally decorated, very comfortable bedrooms, while other areas of the hotel were more contemporary but equally comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a huge choice. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. An added joy was Mount Etna right there in the background! This holiday and hotel exceeded our expectations and we had absolutely no complaints."

"I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights with my older teenage son at the end of June and we had a fantastic time. It's very well located with a 3 minute walk into Taormina town plus a cliff side setting with amazing views down to the sea, across to mainland Italy and the wider area around Taormina. Our room was a bit of a squeeze but they accommodated our request for two single beds, rather than a double, and it came with a fabulous view of the sea. The air con was highly appreciated due to the high temperatures and the room met all our basic needs. It was slightly dated but did not spoil the enjoyment of our holiday plus the beds were very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was included and was buffet-style which suited us perfectly. The staff were mainly very helpful and polite - Giuseppe on the pool bar was excellent, all the reception staff were super helpful and polite, plus Nancy in the dining room was always smiling and happy to make me fresh coffees in the morning! They all spoke good English which we were thankful for. We ate at the hotel restaurant once while we there, it was empty apart from us but the food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. I would happily stay at the Splendid hotel again, if I'm ever lucky enough to be back in Taormina, and would highly recommend it based on all the above plus the reasonable cost. "

"Our stay at the Villa Neri was wonderful. The area is quiet and peaceful. The staff were all courteous and amazing. The hotel itself is a little bit secluded so driving is recommended if you want to get around and explore yourself. There are many things available to do at the resort: spa facilities, pool, tours of the winery, etc. The food was amazing. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a relaxing atmosphere for their trip."

"The location is perfect to explore Taormina with shops, restaurants and tourist attractions within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself is unique built into the cliff and the views are breathtaking. The pool is clean is spacious and always had sun loungers available. Our room was fairly basic but it was extremely clean! The front desk could be a little bit more friendly, but overall the staff across the hotel were fine. Be aware that the hotel does not offer an iron or ironing board, which was pretty inconvenient. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel due to its location in Taormina. "

"The resort is like a gorgeous and peaceful oasis near the frenzied touristy Taormina. The location was like a movie set Italian villa. The staff were excellent, the room was clean and lovely. The morning breakfast was outstanding. Would stay again and again. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my all inclusive two week stay. The food was excellent, the pools were never crowded and the beach was beautiful. The concierge was very helpful with organising trips. It was very helpful that the hotel organised a shuttle service to Taormina too. My only criticism was that it might have been helpful if the restaurant staff staggered putting out the antipasti dishes because if you didn’t arrive at the beginning of dinner the choice became limited because many of the plates were finished, but this is only a minor criticism. "

"Only letdown is the pool area closes hrs before sundown. They should have a summer schedule to enjoy that area more"
