"This was such a quaint, adorable, cozy and romantic spot in old San Juan! We absolutely loved our stay, it was quiet, incredibly comfortable and the rooftop terrace could not have been cuter!!!"

El Colonial - Adults Only
10/10 Excellent
"We loved every minute of our stay at El Colonial. Because we booked through Expedia (we think?), we had access to the unlimited open bar in reception, but the main perk of that was the bartenders! Friendly, knowledgeable, interesting -- talking to the bartenders and hearing about PR was literally the highlight of our trip.
Also, wonderfully, the way the light hit our particular room meant that, in the mornings, there was a camera obscura projection of the street outside onto our roof!
100/10 (because of the staff!)"
"It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. The historical aspect was well preserved. The coffee in the mornings and wine and cheese were such a pleasant and convenient amenity. The rooms were spacious and comfortable."
"Spotless room and bathroom. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Great location. Stayed in a standard interior room, so it was not a big room, but it was perfect. Comfortable bed, nice decor, high ceiling, with air conditioning. Hotel is small so no crowds and quiet. Hotel has a rooftop thst is open on weekends. Hotel has no great amenities but for me are really not needed as there are lots of restaurants and bars all around Old San Juan. Just a block away from famous San Sebastián Street and La Factoria. Had great cocktails there. Excellent location/stay for sightseeing and bar hopping in Old San Juan without needing a car. Highly recommended if you want a great stay to explore Old San Juan without spending a fortune. Would definitely stay again. "
"We loved everything about this hotel from the decor, friendly staff, outdoor amenities and comfy bed. Great views from the rooftops with jacuzzi's and stone baths on them. Can't wait to return to PR to stay there again."
"This hotel is in the middle of everything. No need to rent a car. You can walk to some great restaurants and shops. There is a lot of history nearby and the Fort at Old San Juan is only 15 minutes away on foot. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean and air conditioned. Would have been nice if our room had a window, but that was no big deal. The hotel staff was friendly and very helpful. They held our luggage after we checked out at 11am so we could explore the area before we left at 5pm for our Cruise. You could almost walk to the pier from the hotel.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay here and would do it again if in the area. "
