Lovely room, in a nice area, helpful, friendly staff.

Chose this hotel for a one night stopover largely because it had a pool and after 6 hours driving (shared) being able to relax and have a swim sounded like a good idea. Booked a Lux room which was a relatively new addition to the hotel and it was really lovely great shower room and very spacious with a small outside space. The pool was one of the nicest hotel pools good size and nice relaxed pool loungers. We had one issue being woken at 7.30 by someone with an industrial floor cleaner doing...

Excellent hotel, very friendly staff, very comfortable bed. Beautiful surroundings. We loved the storks. It would be good if there were some wheat/gluten free options on the breakfast buffet.

Princenhof is really well located and all rooms face the water. Fantastic food too.

We stayed 2 nights. I chose this hotel as it was slightly out of town and therefore has easy parking and is away from any potential noise from the downtown nightlife. It is a nice short walk though the adjacent park to the outer canal. The staff on reception and in the restaurant appear to be mostly students studying at the attached university. A very nice modern hotel. There is a short (less than 5 minutes) bus ride into Groningen centre so is in a good location. There was plenty of parking. The staff are very friendly. We`d go back.

Wonderful stay!

Lovely hotel. Has a Scandinavian theme. Ask for the Aromatherapy Shower Pod, absolute luxury. Highly recommended.
