"i didn't have the breakfast since I was having surgery but my daughter and grandson said there was a nice selection. the air conditioning was good. we enjoyed the hot tub but the pool was too cold."

"We've stayed at HCL three times, twice in the main lodge and once in the cottage. I have to say I prefer the main lodge rooms. Though the cottage was so cute and the bathroom was the largest of them all, the bed is just inches away from the door and felt a bit weird. The bathroom is nice and large with a walk-in shower it's great! We travel with our service pups, and they are very comfortable with the grassy area around the pool and in the bar area. Most all staff and visitors love dogs, but you will run into a few that are not too keen on seeing them laying on the floor in bar not making any noise, but kids running and screaming don't seem to bother them...hum! Anyway, we love it here but will continue to stay in the main lodge in an accessible room. We love the pour-over coffee that's available in the rooms with a mini-fridge. It's such a beautiful property and the location is great! Not too far from downtown and shopping. The bar is fully stocked, and I have come to love the dry cava they serve. Its a great treat for us as we drive through and usually stay one to two nights. A must for us and the convenience of a motor lodge our truck is right next to our room and easy to load and unload. The pool looks wonderfully inviting but we've never used it. The fire pits at night are great as well. This is a hoping place on weekends so book in advance! Thank you for keeping it wonderful and clean!"

"This was a great place! We were just driving through Flagstaff so didn’t have time to stay as long as we would have liked. The grounds were wonderful, spacious. The pool looked great, there were some nice sitting areas outside and there was a large trail area behind the hotel, perfect for taking a half hour walk. We would definitely stay here again."

"The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The location is convenient for shopping, dinning, and about 1-hr driving to the South Rim of Grand Canyon. The facility is well maintained and friendly - clean, spacious, easy accessible to the parking lot and outdoor swimming pool. The environment feels like a resort. The breakfast is nice, but sometimes crowed during my stay as it was the busy season visiting the Grand Canyon national park."
