Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
We drove from Vientiane to Meuang Feuang. Once we arrived, there were no clear signs directing us to the property. We spent about 45 minutes trying to find it and stopped five times to ask locals for directions to Heun Phea Meuang Feuang Riverside2.
I messaged the property for help, but received no response. I also tried calling, but no one answered. We eventually found the place, only to see that the sign actually read “Heun Phea Meuang Feuang Riverside”—there was no “2” at the end like the name listed online.
The room was very basic, and the bathroom had a strong sewer smell, so we had to keep the door closed at all times. The food ordering app didn’t work for us, so I had to walk to the office several times to place orders for food and drinks.
With all the stress of getting there, the difficulty ordering food, and the Wi-Fi not working, it was frustrating. However, the mountain views and the beautiful river were very calming. Without the natural scenery, it wouldn’t have been worth staying.
We ordered hot pot, beers, and food for the morning alms from the front desk. I wouldn’t stay more than one night, and I probably wouldn’t return to Heun Phea Meuang Feuang Riverside2. There are many other places in the area worth checking out instead.
